About Me
Since the age of two, it is hard to catch me without a pencil in hand or close by. Art is everything to me.
Advertising caught my eye when my high school invited Kevin Denholm to speak about his experience working as a New Zealand-based director. Denholm discussed his iconic Mitre 10 ‘DIY it’s in Our DNA’ advert. This was my revelation, I wanted to be an Art Director.
AUT has been a fantastic environment for my skills to expand. Throughout my studies, I have further developed my analytical skills and knowledge in a practice in a fast-paced environment. As a University student with deadlines, I understand the importance of sticking to a schedule. I have great organisational and strong analytical skills. I have presented my adverts to clients including Ecostore, KidsCoin, Jucy Rentals and Ceres Organics. I have had the opportunity to intern as a Social Media Ambassador and Junior Art Director.

My career goal is to work domestically and internationally for a well-respected market leading agency.

Social Media Ambassador
My role was to produce graphic design work for their Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube account. Through this internship, I have gained knowledge and experience in digital and social media.
The role allowed me to have experienced with social media publishing and strategy skills. Because of this experience, I understand the importance of being relevant and up to date with trends, software, and branding/advertising tools. I have applied these tools to my own Instagram account, where I publish my art and design. This creative outlook has encouraged me to express my work and passions.

When my volunteered 60 hours internship was finished, I have offered a part-time position with AUT.

Art Direction Intern
This was a two-month internship in a creative team partnership with another AUT student. We worked with their Creative Director on a direct marketing brief for one of their clients.

This year I will be graduating from the No. 1 New Zealand University for Design - AUT.
Throughout my studies, I have learnt how to carry out the analysis, organisation and presentation of visual solutions for clients’ communication problems – a process that requires wide-ranging intellectual, technical and creative input.
